Utica Zoo prepares to reopen

The Utica Zoo will open to members on June 29, and the public on July 2 as New York enters Phase 4.

The zoo will open to the general public on thursday of next week..... at 33 percent capacity.

That's 500 visitors at a time.

--and you must wear a mask!

Also the barns, children's zoo, playground and reptile hall are not ready to open.

The utica zoo was closed more than 100 days.

And while the visitors weren't coming in... the animals still needed to be fed.

The executive director took the opportunity today to thank everyone for their support.
