Members were welcomed to the Utica Zoo Monday after the zoo closed in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.

To members!

Only 500 people are allowed in at one time.... and everyone must wear a mask.

There are changes...including some closed down sections... but that didn't matter to the animal lovers we spoke with today....who have been kept out for more than 100 days.

Tammy thomas 1:02:16 they did a great job.

They had nice clear paths marked, that had everyone spaced out.

The animals were out.

It was nice to be here 1:02:24 .

And we couldnt wait to come back as soon as they opened today.

Its been really nice, they made some really great changes 1:02:56 mary zarnoch-riley 1:03:34 all social distancing was followed.

It's not crowded, it's safe to be here.

Zookeepers and any other employees were also answering our questions.

It's great to be back, 1:03:42 > the zoo opens to the general public on thursday.
