The Butte County Board of Supervisors designated November 8th as Camp Fire Remembrance Day.

The butte county board of supervisors voted to dedicate november 8th as a day to remember all that people went through in the camp fire.

Action news now reporter amy lanski shows us what this day of rememberance means to everyone impacted by the tragedy.

### amy standup: "it was an emotional morning here at the butte county board of supervisors meeting.

One of the first items discussed was making nov.

8th camp fire remembrance day."

Sheriff: "to recognize that this collective expereince is worthy of remembrance on the date of the anniversary as well as you know in years beyond that is important.

I think it is part of that collective healing we are all seeking."

Board of supervisors are encouraging everyone to participate in a moment of silence every year at 11:08 in the morning.

They also encourage people to reach out and help where they can..

And be thankful of those who assisted in response and recovery.

David hawks - cal fire "just as we recognize as a nation the sacrifices made on 9/11 and it's mark on our history as a country, the camp fire has a lasting mark on history in butte county and california, it is important we recognize the camp fire and the sacrifices made and the 86 who made the ultimate sacrifice."

Amy standup: "all of the leaders added that the day will never be forgotten.
