Removal of Tory whip from MP called ‘utter absurdity’ by ex-Cabinet minister

A former Tory Cabinet minister has described the removal of the Tory whip from an MP who beat Chris Grayling to the chairmanship of Parliament’s intelligence watchdog as “utter absurdity”.
