Appeal after cyclist injured in Exeter

Police attended the scene along with South West Ambulance and the Devon Air Ambulance. The cyclist was transferred to the NHS South West Trauma Centre, Derriford for further medical treatment.

Officers from the Roads Policing Unit and Forensic Collision Investigators also attended and the road was closed for a number of hours whilst a specialist examination and recovery took place.

No other vehicles are believed to have been involved in the collision, and anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may have been in the area at the time and may have dashcam footage are asked to contact 101, quoting log number 559 of 05/06/21.

Police would like to thank the public for their patience during the closure while the scene was investigated.
