Thailand and Cambodia have announced an immediate and unconditional ceasefire after weeks of intense fighting.
Leaders from both nations met in a closed-door session and declared the agreement “in good faith.” Cambodian PM Hun Manet praised the talks and thanked nations including the U.S., China, and Malaysia for brokering peace.
Over 300,000 people displaced by the conflict are now expected to return home.
Military leaders will meet to coordinate next steps, while ASEAN prepares for further negotiations to stabilize the region.
