Israeli forces intercepted the Gaza-bound humanitarian ship Madleen, operated by the Freedom Flotilla Coalition (FFC), detaining activists including Greta Thunberg and MEP Rima Hassan.
The IDF says the vessel, carrying limited aid, was a “publicity stunt” aimed at breaching Israel’s blockade.
The FFC alleges the interception in international waters constitutes “kidnapping.” Defense Minister Katz labeled the activists “Hamas propagandists,” vowing to block such missions.
A viral image shows activists with raised hands before losing contact with the vessel.
