President Donald Trump has threatened Apple with a 25% tariff if it continues manufacturing iPhones outside the US.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump warned CEO Tim Cook that iPhones sold in America must be built domestically—not in India or elsewhere.
The warning follows Cook’s recent statement that most iPhones in the US will soon originate from India.
Although finished smartphones currently enjoy tariff exemptions, Trump’s aggressive trade policies may disrupt Apple’s global supply chains and cost the company nearly $900 million this quarter alone.
