Banksy Valentine's Day artwork removed hours after showcase

A component of a new Banksy painting that appeared on a wall in Margate depicting a 1950s housewife has been removed by Thanet Council just hours after the graffiti artist confirmed the artwork as his own.

Titled 'Valentine's Day Mascara', the mural shows the woman with a swollen eye and lost tooth, highlighting the issue of violence against women and girls.
