Defence Secretary Ben Wallace dismisses claims that the Armed Forces are "simply waving people through on arrival to the UK", saying "that claim is just pure propaganda put out at the unions".
Speaking during a visit to Manchester Airport, he continues to rubbish claims that the country's borders are less secure when they are being manned by the Armed Forces.
The cabinet minister's comments come as military personnel cover for striking Border Force staff at airports up and down the country.
