Scheuermann’s

The vertebrae of a healthy spine are shaped like cylinders and are stacked one on top of another.

Scheuermann’s kyphosis occurs when the bones in the thoracic region of the spine become shaped like wedges.

There is no clear reason for the development of Scheuermann’s kyphosis.

But many anatomic and physiological changes may increase the risk of Scheuermann’s kyphosis developing.
