DMK president MK Stalin held a public rally in Tiruppur on March 19.
DMK is contesting the elections in alliance with Congress and other regional parties.
DMK is contesting against the AIADMK only in three of the eight assembly constituencies in Tiruppur, while the party has allotted the remaining seats to its alliance partners.
Tamil Nadu will go to Assembly polls in single phase on April 06.
Counting of votes will be held on May 02.
