With over 4,700 new cases, Pune facing another COVID wave

Pune is under another COVID-19 wave as the city reported 4724 fresh cases in the last 24 hours.

Amid resurgence of COVID-19 cases, many residents were seen flouting Covid-19 norms and masks rules at various public places of Pune, Maharashtra.

A day after Nagpur administration announced a strict lockdown from March 15 to March 21, Pune administration also tightened restrictions to curb public movement and crowding.

The district is having maximum number of active Covid-19 cases in India; still people of the district were seen in the crowded market selling and buying fruits and vegetables, flouting Covid-19 norms and masks rules, even social distancing was not maintained.

"Government should check and stop the crowd and the gatherings in the market to make it work in a systematic way to stop corona cases and even people are wearing masks here no one is moving without mask," A resident said.

"Everyone is terrified and all are facing problems in the corona pandemic.

Social distancing should be maintained and the scenario is still the same as earlier.

We need fruits and vegetables everyday as basic needs.

Vaccination should be given at a time as daily workers are facing problems and it is affecting their daily business.

All are terrified on rising number of cases in newspaper," another resident said.
