Fyffe takes down Piedmont
Fyffe and piedmont met up on the grid iron and the red devils walked away winners.
Will the same go on the court?
Max coahn joins us from fyffe for all the sweet 16 action... basketball is a game of runs and thought it would be piedmont who'd start the game stronger -- fyffe would rally back and hold them off to win this one.
Alex odam was a big problem for the red devils early on -- threading the needle on assists and fighting through contact on drives...the bulldogs would open the game on a 10-3 run before fyffe got things rolling.
Strong ball movement kept parker godwin open most of the of the night -- getting him in position to drain some shots from behind the arc to cut into the lead.
But odam would continue to be a problem on the otherside -- fooling defenders and sinking those difficult shots.
But a deep attack would keep fyffe in the game -- michael works drills one from three-point country there -- at the end of the first the red devils trailed by two but a godwin three would put them in front in the second and they'd never look back...winning 61 to 51..
And moving on to the region final fyffe will have to face off against plainview -- the team that they lost to in the area championship game just last week...reporting at fyffe high school, max cohan, waay 31 sports
