Matt, public health officials here in lane county have pinpointed 12 long term care facilities with multiple cases that are considered active outbreaks!

Raising the alarm for just how serious this virus really is.

And, i'm told those facilities are still adding new cases.

There are 6 more facilities that have at least one case & and health officials are watching this all very closely.

Right now, there are 275 cases tied to the outbreaks, as well as 10 deaths.

Which is why the county says it is crucial that we don't just look out for ourselves--but also those around us who may be at a higher risk.

"this is something wee been trying to prevent for some time.

Fortunately our long-term care facilities here in lane county do a great job at sweeping in and leveraging public health resources and expertise and stopping the spread."
