Two hostages released in Clay County hotel standoff

It started around 10:30 Thursday morning at the Best Western Plus Hotel on State Roa 59, near Interstate 70.

At this hour.... police continue to surround a clay county hotel.

That's where a standoff... that started thursday afternoon... is still going.

It's at "the best western hotel".

That's just off "i-70"... near exit 23.

Police are into hour number 19 of this standoff.

Here's what's happened up to this point.

Terre haute police and u-s marshals went to serve a warrant.

Police say someone fired a gunshot through the door at them... that was "after" they announced their presence.

Officers evacuated everyone from the hotel and set up a perimeter.

The suspect has released "two" hostages from the room.

A state police "swat team" took over for the terre haute police special response team late last night.

No one has been hurt so far.
