Illegal dumping has been on the rise at the recycling site at the former Byron Health Center since it became vacant in May.

A county official says if you're caught leaving your trash behind or leaving recycling when you aren't supposed to, they will make you pay.

Illegal trash dumping is becoming a problem at allen county recycling locations and it could impact the future of thos caleb .

The recycling site on lima and carroll road is the largest producing site in allen coun supposed to be a collection site for things like paper and plastic, but tom fox with the allen county department of environmental management says the large amount o recycling isn caus ng the problems. t not just the recycling mate materials that don even belong here like electronics, and furniture and just trash being dumped here afte the rs that problem.

Night, mainly on sunday and monday when the site is closed, someone or some people are dropping of their trash and leaving.

Furniture, shelves, and contaminated paper bags are ending up here.

They e now had to use st time to sort the unwanted items and use resources to keep an eye on the sites when theye closede just don have the resources to put into policing it and cleaning it up every week.
