>> it is not everyday our company best places to work.

That is the credit our next guest received.

Vice president of framton construction, congratulations.

>> thank you very much.

Thank you for having me.

>> before we get into what makes your company one of the best places to work for, how covid-19 has constructed as a whole?

>> covid-19 nobody was expecting this, global pandemic.

Something you don't -- what are we going to do if a pan and pandemic hits.

For construction, didn't impact us for current operations.

All of our work considered essential.

We had to change protocols on site to make sure everyone staid safe.

As far as our safety well being, health.

Made us look about our backlog.

A lot of the of people don't realize with construction all depends on our backlog.

We won't see how it effects based on koe vit or months from now.

Six months from now, seven, eight month.

I can't tell you the monetary impact it has had.

It has improved health and awareness on site.

Also we have goals.

Goals to go and build and construct projects for our clients who want us to build more.

>> think about it.

With everything going online, everyone stuck at home.

Need for brick and morter places became less and less essential.

People still have to live.

Coronavirus isn't going to last forever.

Neighborhood and communities still flourishing.

What is the typical scale if the mural behind you is any indication?

>> yeah, we like to set a time and time again.

We consider ourselves dynamic.

W'll do everything as far as $100,000 to provide a service.

Project size 50-60, 70 million dollars based on process procedures.

We are capable of doing whatever is necessary.

>> any local things going on currently?

>> we have a lot of local things going on.

We have a charleston office.

We have a charlotte office.

We are catered and set up to go whenever our clients need to go including charleston.

We have an always building.

Some where non disclosed clients.

You would be familiar with them and call centers for t mobile.

Just finished that north charleston area.

We are doing renovations for office buildings.

>> we do a lot locally.

Throughout the state as well.

South carolina and north carolina.

South carolina chamber of commerce, voted one of the best places to work.

How do you earn that title?

>> we are really proud of that.

This is something that we are proud of because of our people.

What we say, when we end a project, we want that client saying i work for the absolute best people.

That takes time.

Takes your company culture.

Takes people to buy into your culture.

Culture we have everyone is a part of the big picture.

If you came here and want add list of things to do.

Said i want to do this, we are probably not the right fit.

We want guys and gals to think outside the box.

Our culture created this the journey is the reward.

Constantly always improving.

Everyone has a say.

Of course we have the many perks googles and facebook have.

>> free lunch.

I don't think that is what sets us apart.

Everyone knowing they are not building a project.

They are helping build a company.

We are not happy where we are.

We have come a long way.

We have had a great evolution.

>> how old is the company?

>> founded in 1993.

Charles framton.

Chad framton taken over the company since then and conti continuous evolution.

>> what do you look for when hiring someone?

>> we look for character.

We can train talent.

We hire the character ambitious, optimistic.

Wants to go above and beyond.

Not the person looking for a salary and check the box but who is innovative and wants to provide value s.

>> you have given people a lot to chew on, finally, talking about employers.

Are you hiring at the moment?

>> always looking for the best people to come work for us.

If it is someone we can bring in.

We are going to keep people business.

We are always hiring.

>> all levels.

Not just on the ground building things.

We find the best people we receive referrals.

And be part of the culture.

>> don't know how to swing a hammer, don't be afraid.
