And restaurants... to operate at a reduced capcity.

It comes after new announcements from governor beshear yesterday..

In an attempt to control the recent surge in coronavirus cases.

According to governor beshear..

The new measures are based on recommendations from the white house.

The order closes bars for two weeks... restaurants will have limited dining capacity at 25 percent... which is the lowest its been during the pandemic.

Outdoor dining will not be restricted as long as you can socially distance.

The state will reevalute in two weeks...with a goal of reopening bars and restoring restaurant capacity..

If the escalation of numbers slows down.

"and the steps that we're going to have to take we can see in the numbers, but we can also see sadly in even our activiry even in the midst in what we know is an escalation... this is just the latest in a series of new orders from the governor to curb the surge.

Last monday--- he issued a new travel advisory..

Kentuckians are asked to quarantine if they travel to states with a positive coroanvirus rate higher than 15 percent..

The amount of people allowed for large gatherings..was also reduced back to 10 or fewer people.

Area schools are already falling in line... anderson county schools announcing its first day for students will now be tuesday, september 8-th.... thats for in-person classes, virtual and hybrid learning.

According to the district... if the decision is made later to begin the year using n-t-i for all students... families will be contacted about technology pick-up between august 24- th and september third.

In fayette county, the first day of school will be august 26-th... two weeks later than the original starting date..

The school board approved the calendar last night..

The last day of school is set for may 13th.

Spring break will be march 29th through april 2nd.

Ten minutes has been added to the school day, according to the district.

## kentucky agricultural officials are warning people not to plant mysterious seeds they may find in their mailboxes..

L3: abc 36 news white seeds from china being sent to ky residents people being warned not to plant them kentucky is just one of several states where these seeds are being sent to people.

Agriculture commissioner ryan quarles says they don't know what type of seeds these are but appear to have originated from china.

He says this could be an act of agricultural bio- terrorism... and that the seeds could be harmful to local plants and livestock if planted.

He says anyone who gets these seeds in the mail should immediately contact the kentucky department of agriculture.

### fayette county is expected to begin scheduling driver's tests again... however..

Its only those who had appointments before the coronavirus shutdowns started in march..

State police tell the herald-leader more than 3- thousand people around the state were scheduled to take the test before the shutdown.

K-s-p says it does not know how many were scheduled in fayette county..

But they are planning to start making phone calls to reschedule those driving tests once a new test location
