Indiana 220 Boys Golf Team Event

High school golfers compete thanks to Indiana Golf Association

.

For the first time since march 8th i had a live sporting event to cover monday.... the indiana golf assoication hosted the indiana 2020 boys team event...this was a pretty cool idea..... since the high school spring sports season was cancelled, the i-g-a came with up this more or less as a boys golf state tourney.... monday six sites across the state hosted teams with the top three advancing to the state finals later in the week at purdue... < 12 teams and 60 golfers were competing at the country oaks in montgomery.... barr-reeve colton brothers gets out of trouble on 17 with a great chip shot.... zach gray had one of the best putt's of the day....the washington hatchet drains the long putt on 16... south knox's tristan dubbs each work on 15 with the short putt.....terre haute south's ryan lieberman money on 12..... clay city's justin hopkins knocks down a birdie putt on 13....northview's benjamin goshen looking good with his short game, that chip within inches of the cup...part of a solid round of 76 that he fired..... northview's brevin cooper sinks the putt on 14.....another fellow nick chase nuckols with the nice touch on the parr putt.... no doubt the best name in the event goes to landon happy gilmore...he's one of the top incoming freshman in the state....the fellow bloomfield cardinal, who's heading to bloomington south fired a 73... after losing their high school season, many of the local players said they really enjoyed playing competitively again.... <<real cool getting to come out here play golf.
