At one point demonstrators even taking a knee.

There even some tense exchanges between people.

Several police officers were at city hall keeping an eye on the situation.

Everything has been peaceful up until two minutes ago there was an issue, but the crowd handled it real well, everybody here is coming together being peaceful really here for the common goal.

Demonstrators held up signs and cars drove by honking in support.

The protest is still underway right now in front of shasta county courthouse.

Police are monitoring the situation closely but for the most part---the protest is remaining peaceful.#### business
