Redding protests go on in peaceful manner

At the county courthouse, though, a brief tense moment broke out between demonstrators.

The redding march for justice was also put on hold - but a protest still went on.

People chanting "black lives matter" and "i cant breath" several cars honked in support.

At one point demonstrators even taking a knee.

There even some tense exchanges between people.

We just need to stand by our brother, we need to stand by our sister, we need to protest for them//i believe that we have a right and responsibility to protect our own and our small shopkeepers and i was surprised to see the large turnout of local people.

Several police officers were at city hall keeping an eye on the situation.

Natural sound protestors lining the streets of court street were also chanting " i can't breathe" "no justice, no peace ".

Everything has been peaceful up until two minutes ago there was an issue, but the crowd handled it real well, everybody here is coming together being peaceful really here for the common goal.

Demonstrators held up signs and cars drove by honking in support.
