Long Beach honors spring athletes

Over at Long Beach High School, a special senior send off for 21 spring athletes who lost their senior seasons due to COVID-19.

Congrats seniors.

- - over at long beach high - school... a special senior- send-off, for 21 spring - athletes... who fell victim to- - - - the same fate, due to covid-19.- over a two night period... the- bearcat family hit the road, to- honor those soon-to-be- graduates... with a bus tour- throughout the community... and- four of those 21... were even - honored for their performances,- in the classroom.

- one of friday's stops took- place, at the football- stadium... where a pair of- standout seniors find - closure... in a make-shift- senior night.

- - "it felt amazing with all that'- going on i would- think i wouldn't get a proper - ending so with this it made me- feel great."- "everybody is pitching in to- really think all of - us and being really excited and- joining in on this event so it'- like i have my friends- here in my family here but i- also have my family and friends- supporting me through - the phone and so it's just been- really special to hear that as- well."- - - - long beach high school is also- honoring the entire senior- class of 20-20... by continuing- to turn on the football stadium- lights each night... for 20 - consecutive days.
