There are new cases of coronavirus across the Mohawk Valley.

Positive test cases are still coming in...today was not a high volume day in any county.

<change > in oneida county we are up to 169 total cases, seven new cases today.

<change > no here's a number i want to talk about...those that are hospitalized.

A total of 27.

Thats 21 in county 6 out of county.

We know 15 are at mvhs, six are in rome.

And of the 21...10 are in icu among the two hospitals...rome and mvhs.

Also 30 people have recovered.

Today the county executive...saying this virus isnt in certain areas....its everywhere.

36:45 for those areas to think that its not reaching them, they are wrong it is...we dont want people to put their guard down..all points north south east and west its in your community, its in every community.

The oneida county sheriff's office investigated several businesses reported to be in violation of executive orders.

Two that operate as a restaurant and bar were written warning notices.

In herkimer county....we are up to 45 positive cases with three new cases announced today.

<change > three people are still hospitalized, and 18 have recovered.

We caught up with herkimer county legislative chairman vincent bono.

Much like oneida county, he says herkimer county will not release where the cases are in the county.

Common sense is that you would just stay away as much as you can.

We realized people have to get out but when you do get out assume that everyone has this virus...we'll get through this, once it runs its course we will be back in business and hopefully back to normal.

Bono is urging people not to congregate....and he is reminding people that the herkimer county sheriff is investigating complaints of businesses that are reportedly staying open when they're required to be closed.

And in otsego county....we are up to 42 cases, six new ones announced today.

<change > six are hospitalized one more than yesterday...and 16 have recovered...also one more than yesterday.

Back to you.
