Arrests Made And Vehicles Seized During Operation Targeting VAWG Offenders On The Roads

A proactive policing operation on the road network in Leeds over the bank holiday weekend has seen nine people arrested for offences relating to violence against women and girls.  

Under Operation Topaz, officers from our Roads Policing Unit (RPU) used specialist tactics to proactively locate and arrest suspects wanted for a range of VAWG offences.  

The operation took place from Thursday 21st August – Monday 25th August, with a breakdown of results below:
