In Taylor Processing Inc v Alberta, 2023 ABKB 64, the Court of King's Bench of Alberta quashed three decisions made by the Alberta Minister of Energy which had resulted in the Province of Alberta unlawfully collecting over $20 million in royalties from Nova Chemicals Corporation.
