Gavin Alexander Williamson is a British Conservative politician serving as Secretary of State for Education since 2019 under the Johnson ministry. Williamson served as Secretary of State for Defence from November 2017 to 2019. On 1 May 2019 he was dismissed as Defence Secretary, following a leak from the National Security Council; Williamson has denied leaking the information.
