Nasser Al-Laham, the prominent head of Al Mayadeen TV’s Palestine bureau, has been arrested by Israeli forces following a violent pre-dawn raid on his home.

According to reports by Al Mayadeen, Shin Bet officers stormed the house and destroyed belongings while searching for the studio from where Al-Laham appeared on-air.

The arrest comes amid increasing crackdowns on pro-resistance media voices in the occupied territories.

Al-Laham was transferred to the notorious Ofer Court in the occupied West Bank, where his detention was extended until Thursday.

The operation has triggered outrage among journalists, human rights groups, and regional media networks, who condemn the targeting of press freedom.

Al Mayadeen, a Beirut-based channel often critical of Israel and aligned with the Resistance Axis, has described the arrest as an attempt to silence Palestinian voices.

This development adds further tension to an already volatile West Bank, where media suppression is becoming increasingly common.
