Justin Baldoni's legal team allowed to file an amended complaint against Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds after judge dismisses his $400 million defamation lawsuit against the couple.
Blake Lively took to Instagram to claim victory after a judge dismissed Justin Baldoni's $400 million defamation lawsuit against the actress and her husband Ryan Reynolds yesterday.
'Like so many others, I've felt the pain of a retaliatory lawsuit, including the manufactured shame that tries to break us,' Lively wrote on an Instagram Story, 'While the suit against me was defeated, so many don't have the resources to fight back.'
However, we learned that the battle between the It Ends with Us co-stars is far from over as Baldoni's legal team will be allowed to file an amended complaint.
Though the defamation claim was thrown out, four out of the seven claims ranging from invasion of privacy to civil extortion are allowed to be amended.
In a statement released to the Daily Mail, Baldoni's lawyer Bryan Freedman said, 'Ms. Lively's own claims are no truer today than they were yesterday, and with the facts on our side, we march forward with the same confidence that we had when Ms. Lively and her cohorts initiated this battle and look forward to her forthcoming deposition, which I will be taking.'
