Russia will present a draft peace proposal to Ukraine once the ongoing POW exchange of 1,000 prisoners per side concludes, said Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
The proposal stems from progress made during the recent Istanbul talks, the first direct negotiations since 2022.
Lavrov emphasized that the document outlines conditions for a “lasting comprehensive settlement.” President Putin confirmed that the next step, agreed upon with President Trump, involves a memorandum defining the peace roadmap.
Both Moscow and Kiev have committed to resuming talks after draft proposals are exchanged.
