The largest prisoner exchange of the Ukraine-Russia war has begun, with 390 people already freed in the first phase of a dramatic “1000-for-1000” swap.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy shared images of the exchange and confirmed the operation will continue over the weekend.
Both sides have exchanged 270 prisoners and 120 civilians so far.
Zelenskyy stressed that each name and detail is being verified, and diplomatic efforts are ongoing.
