The terrible siege of Leningrad/Peterburg, 1941-1944

In this video clip, a Russian historian mentions how terrible the siege of the major Russian city of Peterburg (then called Leningrad) was, and the fact that units of different Western countries took part in it, until the Red army broke the siege and relieved the city on the 27th of January 1944, exactly a year before it liberated Auschwitz at the same date in 1945.
