Labour's National Campaign Coordinator Shabana Mahmood says if they make the same popular vote gains as they have in local elections in the next general election, then they will regain those seats.
She says they have "much more work to do" to overcome the "near-death experience" of 2019 but believes the Labour Party is now on a more "solid foundation" heading into the next election.
