DRDO today test fired the 1000 km range Nirbhaya cruise missile.
This was the first test-firing with the indigenous booster engine after the previous one had to be aborted after eight minutes flying time.
The missile is now going to be handed over to the army, which will conduct three more tests before inducting it.
