Some counties are recovering from Friday nights storms. On Saturday in Chickasaw County road crews, volunteers, and fire and rescue teams got together to remove the leftover debris.

One family came in town to see other family members.

They helpedthe road crews removed the tree from the road so that everyone could get through.

Sot: "we do like to help but we don't like to but in when we are not going to be of use.

So, i said maybe we can help here."

Sot: "so the tree was a little bigger than the truck, so we had to wait for backup."

The edwards family that backup was the vanvleet fire and rescue team.

They spent their day helping road crews remove trees from the roads - but to their surprise... sot: "more tree's fell since last night, that's how much damage was done."

Sot: "power, power companies are out full force, we are hoping everyone has power restored by later tonight."
