Armed person dies in officer-involved shooting in Redding

A person who was armed with a rifle in Redding was killed by the Redding Police Department after the suspect fired several rounds and fled police on Tuesday.

We've just learned that the person in that security camera footage is the suspect involved.

Police also confirming that suspect is dead.

Police tell me that the suspect was in a stolen vehicle and armed with a rifle and discharged several rounds one nearby business told me they heard several gunshot ring out.

When they came to check out the scene, they saw a swarm of police cars.

We're working to find out the indentity of the suspect.
