Senator Warnock, Congressman Bishop visit Peach County

Senator Raphael Warnock visited seven locations throughout Georgia, talking to farmers and producers.

Senator raphael warnock visited peach county today, to tell farmers he's bringing their voice and concerns to washington.

Raphael warnock (senator) :" there's no important, no more important part of our economic viability as a state then the agricultural sector, so know that i am very focused on this issue, which is why i lobbyed hard to make sure i was on the agriculture committee senator warnocks first stop was at fort valley state university, georgias only 1890 land grant institution that suppports agriculture and agriculture reaserch.

Many farmers were present to let him know how much the government support means to them.

Along with senator warnock, congressman sanford bishop was also present.

Senator warnock also discussed how the recently passed american rescue plan will impact the farmers.

He says it will help to address supply chian issues that have emerged during the pandemic.

And now as part of the agriculture commitee, he says he can help even more people.
