You can plan to eat in the Taproom and gift shop at Sierra Nevada Brewery in Chico starting May 26.

Action news now reporter amy lanski is with us from the brewery... amy when can people expect to be back inside?

People can plan to eat in the taproom and be allowed in the gift shop here at sierra nevada starting may 26th.

The brewery has been closed since march of 2020, and staff say they are thrilled to have people back inside.

Taprooms will reopen at 50% capacity and you will need a reservation to eat.

Spokeswoman robin gregory says tables will be socially distanced and other protocols will be in place as well, like the bar area will still be closed.

"it is mainly just a really big production to get everything set up.

A lot of our taproom employees have moved into production roles so they can continue working during the pandemic.

So we are moving people over.

We are also adding some socially distanced measures and safety tactics that were not there beforehand.

So we wanted to make sure we have everything 100% ready when we open our doors to all of you."

The brewery is also adding more jobs..

They are hiring food and beverage roles to staff the restaurants in preparation for reopening.

Those new employees will start immediately and will receive full benefits soon after employment.
