A FLURRY OF ACTIVITY AT THE CAPITOL... ON THE LAST DAY LAWMAKERS CAN VETO-PROOF THE BILLS THEY HAVE PASSED THIS SESSION.

A flurry of activity at the capitol... on the last day lawmakers can veto-proof the bills they have passed this session.

After midnight... they can no longer override any vetoes by governor andy beshear so lawmakers have been pushing through as many bills as they can before the deadline.

That's tonight's top story at six.

Fs vo bullets:no 2021 legislative session last day to veto-proof bills - sb 8: opt out mandatory vaccinat ... among the bills passed today... the senate gave final passage to senate bill eight... which allows people to opt out of mandatory vaccinations due to conscientiously held beliefs... if vaccinations should ever become mandatory.

It also voted to approve house bill 95...capping cost- sharing requirements for prescription insulin at $30 per 30-day supply for state- regulated health plans.

In the house... lawmakers passed a senate bill that would would remove the governor's ability to fill the vacancy of a u.s. senator who dies or retires from office.

The house also passed a republican-backed senate bill that would deny snap benefits for parents delinquent on child support payments passed... but not before democratic lawmakers spoke out against it.
