Battle at the Beach: Biloxi vs. Nettleton

Biloxi hosting Nettleton as part of the fifth annual Battle at the Beach.

- as i've came to find out, over- the last year... everyone seems- to have a "last thing i did before covid"... kind of moment i'll never forget mine... as it- pertains to covering- sports... just trying to hold o- to whatever hadn't already- been canceled.- that's where i found myself at- m-g-m park... shooting- highlights of a game between- biloxi and west lauderdale... a- a - part of the fourth annual battl- at the beach.

- now under the pressure of a - deadline... it's a fairly commo- practice, for us sports guys...- to leave in the middle of a - game... once we get enough- highlights to fill a show.....- but not - that night.

- on that friday night... march - 13th, 2020... i stayed... i put- the - camera down... and i stayed.- - - - biloxi shuckers general manager- hunter reed brought me a hot- dog... and i stayed... i stayed- to watch an extra inning... - just one extra inning of- baseball... just six more - outs... - because i didn't know... i- didn't know when the next time- would - be... no one did.

- by the time i came back to work- the following monday... we all- know the rest.- and yet here we are... one year- later... back where i started..- before that last thing i did.

- well... pretty much the same- thing... except northwest - mississippi community college - signee davis oswalt...- actually strikes out the side..- the game started with seven - consecutive strikeouts... and - there really wasn't anything- going on offensively for a long- time.

- eventually... the indians find - way to plate a run... and that'- all - they would need... to make that- home field advantage... a - true advantage.
