Christina silvers and john trinity appeared before the judge ... both were charged with 4 counts of animal cruelty in february after three horses were found dead on a property in new harmony.

Today they accepted an agreement - pleading guilty to lesser charges.

Trinity to 2 counts of animal cruelty, and silvers to 1 count.

Silvers also shared her regret for hurting her horse.

"i wouldn't want to see him in pain."

One horse - 2-year-old chance - survived the abuse and is now living at the dust devil ranch sanctuary in cedar city, owned by ginger grimes.

Ginger and other animal rights activists came to court today to show their support for chance ... who is still healing from the abuse.

Ginger grimes, dust devil ranch owner lisa golding, dust devil ranch volunteer silvers and trinity were sentenced to 90 days suspended jail time, which they will not need to serve if they follow their probation orders.

They were ordered to pay restitution, and a tearful silvers said she would sign her rights to the surviving horse over to the sanctuary.
