Mamata Banerjee files nomination, explains why she to contest from Nandigram

West Bengal CM and TMC chief Mamata Banerjee filed her nomination on Wednesday.

Banerjee filed her nomination papers from the high-profile Nandigram assembly seat.

The Bengal CM is pitted against her former confidante and BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari.

Banerjee filed her papers at the Haldia sub-divisional office, after taking part in a 2-km roadshow.

The TMC supremo was accompanied by party president Subrata Bakshi among others.

Nandigram assembly constituency is set for a high-octane battle in Bengal elections.

Banerjee decided to contest from the seat after Adhikari's recent switch to the saffron camp.
