Bibb County students made their way back to the classroom today

New safety measures have been put in place to ensure students safety

Baldwin county has more than 36- hundred, and laurens county has more than 35-hundred.

Bibb county students made their way back to the classroom today with new safety measures in place.

Schools recieved ionazation machines that clean the air, cleaning supplies for each teacher, and social distancing markers to place on the floors.

Latoya smith , principal of howard high school, says she's happy to have her students back, and looks forward to giving them a safe learning experience.

We have students that are virtual and some that are here with us.

So teaching never stops, we just c1 3 b13 have our kids back and we're excited for them to be back in the building.

Principal smith says all students are required to wear masks, and mask wearing is enforced like the school's dress code.

The district says each hallway is cleaned after class changes and students eat in their classrooms so they can avoid cafeteria crowds.

And speaking of the school district, bibb county school board members approved a supplemental pay bonus during its committee meeting this afternoon, and will vote on the bonus
