Assemblyman james gallagher - calling for more county power... james gallagher/california state assembly member "the governer in many ways has really tried to i think snuff out represent government.

The bottom line is i am an elected leader for this area and all of our elected leaders and legislator throughout the state should have a lot more input on what the policy is."

Dani masten/dani mastentv businesses in chico have had to open and close over and over.

Gallagher wants that to stop.

James gallagher/california state assembly member "if we follow those protocols, that is going to do more than anything to help keep cases down, it's not shuttering businesses, it is not shuttering our schools."

James gallagher/california state assembly member "i would like to see our counties all come together and stand up against what we think is a short-sided, one side fits all system."

Let them follow that attestation if the state accepted that but that is not what butte county says."

Debra lucero/butte county supervisor "what we definitely don't need right now is to be split apart in any way.

I think that we all know that we need to follow health and safety guidelines that are being put out by our public health experts."

But some people in chico are for more county leadership.

Emily hanlon/lives in chico "i agree.

I think we should have more control over what we do.

I personally think each county is different so it just depends on the cases there."
