James had to close down his business sunday-letting 10 employees go sot: knight- "it's hard right now to be out here for me.

I just put so much into it.""the thing is, you're in charge of people's lives.

Those employees depended on this location for their livelihood.

We had a mother working here, we had a son that was taking care of his family."

Sot: brett dalby, bracy's cafe owner- "i can't break myself just to keep this place open for a few people."

The pandemic slicing the amount of customers walking in sot: customer- "i'm really sad.

The mom and pop places aren't doing well right now."

Sot: customer- "we're not as regular as we'd like to be given the circumstances we're in right now."

Sot: dalby- "our revenue dropped 60-70%, pre-covid."loyal customers stopping by the cafe to get as much of their favorite dishes before the doors closesot: customer- "oh, i love the biscuits and gravy.

Sot: customer- "we always get the breakfast stromboli, with gravy.

It's amazing."

Sot: dalby- "that's the one thing i will miss, is the people."

Thankfully- bracey's isn't saying goodbye forever.

They're hitting the road with a food truck.

Sot: dalby- "this will be good for us."

Two local establishments shut down in a monthand owners don't think they'll be the last sot; dalby- "i think you're going to see a lot more little mom and pop shops close up."
