The husband of a Canastota woman who was reported missing, and later found dead, has been charged with her murder.

D'avolio today arraigned on murder charges today.

News channel 2's caitlin irla joins us live outside of the madison county court house to tell us more about this case.

George mcdonald junior has been charged with second degree murder in connection with the death of his wife, 19- year-old elizabeth garrow mcdonald.

Mcdonald appeared in madison county court today.

The judge read the seven count indictment handed down by the grand jury.

Mcdonald pleaded not guilty.

Garrow was initially reported missing september 23rd and investigators believe she died the same day she went missing.

She was last seen at the dunkin' in canastota with mcdonald.

Groups of law enforcement and community members searched for her for four days.

Her body was found september 27th not far from where she was last seen.

The madison county sheriff's office said she had been stabbed multiple times.

The assistant district attorney says the knife mcdonald used to allegedly kill garrow was found about 15 feet from her body.

The a-d-a also confirmed that garrow was pregnant.

She is a daughter a sister a mother a friend who is going to be missed by all.

Those four days that we spent searching hoping against hope that we would find her alive but it didn't turn out that way.

The assistant district attorney says mcdonald has communicated with law enforcement about the case which was helpful in connecting him to the murder.

He is being held in madison county jail without bail.

Mcdonald's next court apprearance is january 11th.
