A woman dies in the Fayette County Jail.

A woman has died while in custody at the fayette county jail.

L3: abc 36 news white fayette county jail inmate dies in custody according to jail officials... 40-year- old tera erin prado suffered a medical emergency at the jail monday night just before 8-40.

The jail says prado was taken to the hospital... where she was pronounced dead.

Jail officials say prado was tested for covid-19 at the hospital... but say they don't believe her medical emergency was related to covid-19 they say there are no current covid-19 cases at the jail.
