Action news now reporter jafet serrato is live in butte county..

Jafet you talked with a multiple fire survivor - what is he telling you?

He tells me he feels defeated and wants to get back home as soon as he can.

This is paul clement... you may remember i spoke with him last week.

He has lost two homes in the span of two years... one in the camp fire... now one to the bear fire.

He works at batteries plus bulbs in chico... and is staying busy selling batteries, light bulbs and repairing phones.

Clement says right now- "normal"... is to keep working... temporarily live in a trailer... and return to his property as quickly as possible.

"the longer we wait the more difficult it is.i understand that there might be some smoldering going on.

When i did see some video of our place.

A couple days after the fire there were still some smoldering going on.

Within 50 feet of the in print of our house.

That's irrelevant.

When you lose something you just need to get up there to set your own emotional healing."

Clement admits... he has no idea what might remain.

He says after the camp fire- he was only able to recover some jewelry.

.

On the heels of two devastating fires... clements tells me he is not sure he will remain in california.
