Westmoreland Historical Society holds "Socially distanced Show & Tell" Thursday evening

The Westmoreland Historical Society hasn't been able to do much this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, and was looking for interesting and creative ways to serve the community, and reach out to people.

Distanced show and tell.

It was right in the parking lot of the westmoreland historical society on station road.

People could bring items to show to anyone else, and tell the history behind it, as well as share and hear some stories of westmoreland.

The historical society's president says the pandemic won't stop them from getting together.

"even though we're partially shut down we are still doing or work and we still want to bring back the people, and we still want to encourage people in town to come and share their history with us and with each other.

So we decided that we would just take it right outside in the parking lot, make it casual, people can sit back on their own.

They bring their own chairs.

They can wear their mask if they want to come up close and see the things close up, or they can just kind of stick back with their families and just come to share their history."

Weather permitting the event will be on thursdays down the road starting at 6pm.
