## we continue to track the struggles for many businesses being forced to shutdown again--- action news now reporter karen alvarez is live in redding and karen you spoke to restaurant owners---many of them saying their closing for good?

I spoke to the manger of bleachers sports bar and grill---he tells me they're closing down after 13 years.

The owner of red bicycle catering--- another business---is closing after being open for more than 14 years.

Many businesses on the brink of shutting down--- that was almost the case for rita's kitchen in redding--- sot(rita fore, owner of rita's kitchen): we were very, very slow doing about 8-10 people a day.

So she took to social media asking for the community's support---since then, the phone has been ringing of the hook---- she's been doing non-stop take- out and curbside deliveries--- sot(rita for, owner of rita's kitchen): we've had businesses come and help us out, old-time customers, new customers.

The city has very much come forward and really helped out the last two days.

But not so lucky is red bicycle catering in downtown redding---also taking to social media---but to say that they would be closing their doors after being open for more than 14 years.

Bleachers sports bar and grill&the popular sports bar shutting down after*1* years.

We're just trying to get rid of stuff.

Everything wall, neon, you know sports memorabilia, all that's for sale.

Stand up: bleachers sports bar and grill was close for over two months--- reopening around mid-may.

The manager says their business is not conditioned to do take-out or curbside deliveries--- saying the decision to close down was a tough one.

Sot(shawn gardiner): it's new times, i mean we can travel on another path, you know not sure where it's going to go.

Fortunately for us, there's many opportunities that we may be able to get involved with, but at the moment take it day by day and go from there.

Lumberjack's restaurant on cypress---says business is picking up thank* to patio dining.

Sot(melissa pine, manager, lumberjack's, redding): it's really helped us, it's really helped our local community actually have a place to go.

We prepared for it before it happened, we had a feeling so we had all our outdoor equipment to go, so it was an easy transition.

Folks looking to support their local business--- saying it's become tough for businesses to stay afloat--- sot(jamie bowman, frequents bleachers sports bar and grill): really...it's this corona thing is killing a lot of businesses, how do they expect them to survive, they can't you know and it's unfortunate.

Bleachers sports bar and grill say their last day to be open will be this saturday.
