Whitley County 4-H Fair continues through July 23

With summer activities canceled back to back because of COVID-19, Whitley County 4-H Clubs, Inc.

President Jeff Geiger was adamant about the Whitley County 4-H Fair 2020 coming to fruition.

Many summer gatherings were cancelled due to covid-19.but thanks to months of planning with the whitley county health department, the whitley county 4h fair continues.fox 55's mallory beard met with some of the program members, and showed us how day three looked for the crowd.

Nats this was the show barn for the high school seniors in the whitley county 4h fair.

Kelley shceie //mom finished up the grand heifer drive and recognized the 10 year 4h membe been in the program for ten years as well as the scholarship nats kelley scheis?son has been in the program for over a decasde.

Competing in the show barn has been one of his main focuses.kelley shceiss//mom e learned how to win but he also learned how to lose and not always graciously...an d th okay ?smiles?.she says her son has learned even more skills to prepare him for his next phase in life.

But what gained most importantly from 4h...kelley robably the conn made.

Not only with just his peer group but with adue been t able to mentor and influence him.h president jeff geiger and the volunteer staff created a sixty page safety document with the whitley county health department just to get the green light for the fair amid coronavirus concerns.
